Nine Elms

The urban regeneration at Nine Elms in West London is one of Europe’s largest regeneration projects. It is not without its critics! However there is a certain transient beauty created during the transformation of the old to the new London. The juxtaposition of different forces commercial and historic creates a ‘free for all’ aesthetic, based in part on the engineering lead logic of the construction process. This is often more interesting than the elevations of the approved plans.
